The fourth album of the band seems to keep looking for a proper unique sound, somewhere between Gothic and Rock. If I had to be punctual and really critical, I'd say that "Higher Level" is an exact reproduction of what CEMETARY performs... "Voices" imitates TYPE O NEGATIVE elements, while "Forever Falling" sends you to THE GATHERING. Lotta Hoglin's voice is a really strong one but in the shadow of Erik Molarin's one, which is of low timbre, lightly baritone and impressing. I think the most elegant and successful track is the first, the one which gives the album title, as it is amazingly full of energy and Metal atmosphere! On the other hand, because of Klas Bohlin's departure, the sound embraced a new contour, more experimental, perhaps even with Heavy or Groovy touches. Otherwise... it is just a Gothic Rock with Pop references, plenty atmospheric elements, all captured together into a melodic structure, probably just perfect to enjoy in a live performance!
