Alessandra Santovito, known from GOTHICA has started a new project alongside Francesco Forgione that has previously activated on several jazz projects. I couldn't expect else from such a collaboration but a Mediterranean scented approach framed within a Neo Classical Gothic structure. Otherwise, we can hear all sorts of exotic instruments, various percussions, flute, violin, cello, harp along with guitars, double bass and keyboards. Starting with ATARAXIA or ARCANA all the way to OPHELIAS'S DREAM and DEAD CAND DANCE, HEXPEROS explores a sublime musical realm (intentionally speaking), gravitating around Alessandra's fragile voice. It's nothing exquisite, nothing destined to induce fascination from the first accords, it is solely another kind of Experimental, less Ethereal, which tries to find a place of its own within a scene saturated already with incontestable talents. The symphonic dimension of "Ave Maria" track is one to be noticed!
