Right when I was about to say that my old friend Dolk gave up his musical path! I remember those times when MOCK project, alongside another one, TUMULUS, were ripping appart the underground scene with two well conceived and performed MCD, yes... it was about ten years ago! Back to present time, KAMPFAR enlivened MOCK's cinder, released two albums during two years' time and afterwards, for almost six years, they've turned to silence... there were only echos regarding a possible collaboration with GRUESOME project.

Now, Dolk co-opted Jon and soon after that II13 too, and so we can talk about a new Norse Pagan Black Metal material! I admit I have enjoyed listening to this album, I probably transcended towards bygone years, to the time when Norwegian Black Metal scene started its rapturous mirage through damn inspirational releases of truly dark and outlandish bands. Thence, we are dealing with northern Black Metal, with folk influences, not mixed with but sifted through the extreme Metal strainer, aggressive vocals and balanced rhythm, enhancing atmosphere (yet no keyboards are used) rather than aggro. A decent album, completely ungrasped by the trendy veil, still one that does not overrun previous KAMPFAR releases! At least, that's my sense out of it!
