Jacobo is known from his over 10 year’s long activity with bands like ANTIQUA and PROJECT FIRESTART. He decided in 2006 to start his own solo project and a year later he launched a well received demo, “The First Abyss”. “Temple Of Guilt” is the musicians’ debut on the lines of Doom Death Metal and I can say that I am pleasantly surprised by this sound! Even if it has no new elements, you can easily distinguish influences from KATATONIA, SATURNUS, MY DYING BRIDE, CELESTIAL SEASON or ENTCHANTMENT… On certain passages the Doom transforms into Black Metal in the style of FORGOTTEN TOMB or SHINING, very aggressive but atmospheric. Jacobo Cordova was helped on this album by the drummer Porncho, Pastas at keyboards and by Migueliro with the guitar solos. The booklet is very elegant, made by Robert Hoyem (At Theends)… a decent material, conceived and put together very well, a Mournful Doom Metal that can be digested even by the fans of PARADISE LOST (in the beginnings).
