If the album's title wouldn't have been linked to Paulo Coelho, I could have easily step into the times that passed away, to the one when MY DYING BRIDE exploded with the first brilliant albums. Though, this Danish guys make their return after a rather long pause, almost six years, with a third album, labelled as an archaic, melancholic, atmospheric and very depressive Doom/Death Metal. We cannot dignify eigher sound's speed or the slow approach typical for Finnish Doom bands. We are rather dealing with a mix of British Doom and Northern Gothic, where the masculine normal voice mingles with the aggressive one, the guitar solos are sometimes too prolonged (reminding me KATATONIA's debut), the keyboard diminishes the sober note, adding in a totally unoriginal way a plus of harmony and consistence, everything sounds nice, pleasant and, this very album diconnected me for over an hour from the normality that endlessly overwhelms my existence. I'm sure SATURNUS is the best Danish Doom/Death Metal band, but I doubt that's sufficient for a style that have already sealed the history of many bands that entered the same directions some years now: ANATHEMA, KATATONIA, PARADISE LOST... Once again, it is a pleasant audition... and induced state! Not to be left away...
