If we are to consider solely melodics, then SHAMRAIN is the best choice. I don't know which should be the suitable name for HIM pretenders, but I can assure you that the ones who appreciate Love Metal, will fully enjoy these ten tracks presented by the Finnish project. For me it sound too Rock, maybe even too Pop on certain fragments, yet it is pretty rhythmic, dynamic, pleasant for group audition, eventually with lots of girls around, if you are male. If you are girl (and you like romantic and sugary, yet Metal, lines), it really doesn't matter who's around because SHAMRAIN alone can grant you a trance. I've listened to this album a couple of times, with pleasure I may say, and I've realized it is a good one, very well structured, sounding harmoniously, consisting in some rapid tracks (rhythmic I mean) and also some Rock ballades just perfect to be whispered in the ears of the enamoured metalheads. I wouldn't be surprised if this band will be frequently seen on MTV! With sonorities like these you cannot miss the mainstream attention! Too serene and melancholic, and definitely too disco for me, yet...
