...A feeling of balance and plenitude, total inner piece... of escaping out of normality, reality, out of everything and anything... an ataraxic form.

...There are reference marks permanently gravitating around us, references that can feed/hydrate our inner part at any stage, the part within us that is knowingly (or not) letting itself to be dominated, even assimilated, by the external, day to day side of us... and so, it is getting harder to find time to offer ourselves the gift of living for something: music, theatre, poetry, photography, graphic art and performances of sorts... all meaning ART!

...I can't remember if I have, in the last two decades, met another band that can create such a fascinating mixture of Art and Nature, transposed on an unique Ritual Mediterranean stave!

...French, English, Spanish, Italian, Greek and Latin... a unique combination of different cultures, languages and types of communication amongst the European nations, lyrically or even epically transposed through a dimension characteristic to times long gone.

...Old, traditional instruments, medieval accords, folk, various percussion's, atmospheric echoes, shadows of mystery and even mysticism.

...Over 20 CDs, 5 video tapes, over 250 concerts all over the world, over 20 years of activity on the Neo-Classical, Medieval, World Music and Ritual Sound scene.

...If they were from France, they surely would have been Europe's Troubadours... but even so, they aren't very far from this creative format...

KOGAIONON and DONISART have the immense joy to announce the preparation of a new Special Evening, this time a complex one, focused not only on the musical dimension, but also on the visual, dramatic, theatrical and scenographical... a different kind of night... like you have never witnessed before in Romania: RITUAL MEDITERRANEAN EVENING!

The spring was announced through the MAGICAL MEDIEVAL EVENING, more exactly, through ARCANA. Summer came in a breathtakingly frozen and brutal fashion, through our DARK COLD EVENING, meaning ICE AGES.

Its now time for the next season, the rusty colored one and perhaps the most nostalgic of them all, perfect for the infinite beach of statistical influences that ATARAXIA can offer...

And two more will follow this year...

We invite you to participate together with us and alongside a band with an indisputable reputation within the Folk scene, a band coming from Italy especially for a night with a different "odor", for nonconformist fans who want to share with them approximately two hours of unreality... OF SOMETHING ELSE...

In the same elegant and exclusive hall of Reduta Cultural Centre, in Brasov, SATURDAY, THE 20TH OF SEPTEMBER, starting with 8pm, these Italians will be happy to share live, with us, from the musical experiences of their lives, but in an elegant and intellectual way, in the same manner they have been doing, with great skill, for over two decades!

KOGAIONON and DONISART are provoking you to a multidimensional show, both as music and as imaging, a truly artistic evening! From LOREENA McKENNITT and to DEAD CAN DANCE, ATARAXIA covers through its music a vastness of statistical influences and valences, ingeniously alternating Francesca Nicoli's sublime voice with Giovanni Pagliari's keyboard and voice, Vittorio Vandelli's guitar and also voice or the exceptional percussion of Riccardo Spaggiari, together with other specific instruments such as: Flute, Persian Daf, Darbuka (different ones, from Northern Africa, Middle East, Greece or the Balkans), Tamburello, Ocean Drum and traditional guitars characteristic to medieval and oriental music, bells...

Four in studio and five during the live performances, ATARAXIA represents a nucleus of people with a fantastical abnegation on behalf of music but also for times long past, people who live their day to day life through all sorts of activities: teacher, psychologist, engineer and actor... However, during weekends, should they not be on stage, they retreat to a pace of their own, in the middle of nature, away from phones, network coverage and of emails... and they rehearse, compose, transpose their obsessions onto the stave's, their admiration towards what inspires them and what they love and respect... and then they share these with us as well, through their albums that keep appearing with an envying frequency...

This is the music of the soul and for the soul...

The fee is 70 RON (aprox. 20 EUR); however, until 20th of August it will be 60 RON (aprox. 16.50 EUR).

There will be a stall with personalized accessories for the show, with T-shirts and CD-s at promotional prices!

After the concert, the now customary After Party in Musik Café, starting around at 10:30 pm, where we can sit around, in an Ataraxia-like state... or not, with a drink or two in front of us, chatting with the exquisite and respectable musicians who came from the Mediterranean, for the first time in ROMANIA!

As we you have already been accustomed, in the same intimate, friendly, elegant, full of respect atmosphere, we are awaiting you to another civilized evening alongside a simply fascinating band!
