Reduta Cultural Centre will commence repair work on the Music Hall initially selected as the venue for the ICE AGES concert. The event will thus move into the Main Hall; this leading to the supplementing of the available seats.

Press Release: List of free CDs at ICE AGES

Please find here the list of the bands of whose musical productions are offered for free by DonisArt and Kogaionon to all participants at the ICE AGES event. As we have already mentioned, we are giving away 3 CDs from a list of over 700; every single person who will attend to the concert will have the opportunity to chose is favorite genre, favorite band or... favorite compilation, found on the list...

As well as that, every participant will go home with an ICE AGES poster! Another small present from us... A symbol of the respect we have towards the ones that have been encouraging us and appreciating our efforts... real, not simulated but stubborn efforts to do something, something different.

We are waiting for you, in one of the larger rooms of the beautiful venue, Reduta Theater, at a less conventional, less metallic and less categorized show, to something new in the realm of concert happenings... But beware; there are less than 20 seats available!!!

ICE AGES competition Press Release

Congratulations to those who have answered correctly to the following question: "When was ICE AGES founded?"!!!

We know that:

- its difficult with the money in this never ending transition
- concerts are abounding to such a degree that we don't know how to allocate our time
- we have to have a normal life, a private life... and one... just of our own
- we want to accomplish more but we kid ourselves with the little we obtain
- we appreciate music but we can't find the resources to be dedicated, in a special way, to the favorite bands/memories...

And the list of inconveniences could go on...

Kogaionon and DonisArt are trying to fill a virtual void, maybe even a mental void, for many of us... and so, they have decided that, after a spring magically represented by ARCANA, to offer now a glacial summer, through the presence of the Viennese artist Richard Lederer, someone who can awaken memories from the dimensions of SUMMONING, DIE VERBANNTEN KINDER EVAS or ICES AGES.

You have already received the details of the event; at this particular time we just want to inform you that whoever wants to re-live the moments from that Arcana evening, or... whoever didn't get to live them at all, can now do it on the 28th of June, two hours prior to ICE AGES, in an elegant room of the venue, Reduta Cultural Centre.

And in order to be closer and more open to the Kogaionon and DonisArt fans, we thought it would be nice to offer as motivation, for free, to every participant at the concert that will start at 8pm, 3 CDs to choose from an impressive list of 700 Dark, Doom, Gothic, Black, Death, Industrial and Ambient, CD/DVDs...

And so, come to Reduta, purchase the invitation (20 RON, aprox. 5.50 EUR), get a bracelet and move on to the room where, on a monitor, you can watch for the first time or re-live the ARCANA concert from the 19th of April. Somewhere there you will also find a table with the list of the 700 CDs we are giving away. You will pick 3 of them and walk quietly towards the specially arranged area where you can claim your free gift from DonisArt & Kogaionon (claim based on the bracelet you would each be wearing). We would ask you to choose some back-up alternatives from the list, as perhaps some of the CDs you have picked have already been taken by someone else, someone who rushed in before you!

After this, you can hang around and watch the ARCANA gig or... you can go out, have some... juice, a beer or a cigarette... but do it quickly, as the COLD EVENING, meaning ICE AGES will start.

We want you to be there, as the event will be a rare one... and especially as, after the concert, we will allow access to every person wearing the bracelet into the After Party held in Music Cafe, to a sincere talk with Protector. And maybe even with us, why not?

Once upon a time there was a Magical Evening with ARCANA. But it has now passed... and the spring is passing away too... Its time for a new season and therefore, a new Special Evening, this time... A COLD EVENING...

On an authentic summer night, Kogaionon and DonisArt are inviting you into a frozen atmosphere that gravitates around the accords and distorted voices that come through the Austrian Industrial Dark Wave project ICE AGES!

Who is coming though, on the 28th of June to the Centrul Cultural Reduta in Brasov, starting with 8.00 pm... ?

Initially there was SUMMONING. An Austrian version Black Metal project, based on Tolkien's legends (before it become the global brand known as "Lord Of The Rings") and transformed into a bombastic epical universe, where the melody of the sound blends in with the aggressive, even violent voices. History has six albums and two minialbums for us, all in an authentic Austrian Atmospheric Black Metal shape.

Next there was a Romantic Dark Wave project of a rare beauty, named DIE VERBANNTEN KINDER EVAS. Four albums full of melancholy, with an ingenious alternation of feminine and masculine voices and with an unmistakably nostalgic background.

The Industrial Melodic Dark Wave dimension has emerged in this artists mind as well and so, we can count another three albums of his solo project named ICE AGES.

If with SUMMONING the Fantasy atmosphere is at its best and on DVKE the orchestral melancholy and the polyphonic voices dominate the entire sound, with ICE AGES, the color suited with its sorts of sounds is a dark blue, one that bares connotations with frozen, sad and isolated lands...

Other than these three projects, the enigmatic character has collaborated throughout his 15 years of musical activity with a number of different bands as: PAZUZU, GRABESMOND, CROMM, WELTENBRAND, WHISPERS IN THE SHADOWS and DEMENTIA AD VITAM. More recently, he has done a remix of a song owned by the well known band ACYLUM; as well as that, two of his works were included in an animation film called "Damnatus".

From a live performance point of view, I don't think there are many that can admit seeing the musician under the spotlight. In all history, he has only been on stage a couple of times!!!!

At the end of June, RICHARD LEDERER (Protector) will officially launch (at the renowned Austrian record label Napalm Records) the third album of his solo project, ICE AGES, entitled "Buried Silence": a universe difficult to digest by the untrained, full of melodic but also rhythmic elements, all structured in a decor less than hospitable, with normal but also distorted voices, effects of sorts, Dark echoes, Electro tendencies and Industrial elements... And it all happens in a future world... in the ICE AGES.

Due to the fact that the activity of this exquisite musician is so impressive (over 15 albums!!!), Kogaionon and DonisArt concluded that the only opportunity to penetrate the world of the mysterious artist is to bring him to Romania, as to present his latest musical achievement born in the universe of his own mind. ...And this will happen on the last Saturday of the month of June, on stage: games of light and shadows, a backdrop with shocking images, a cold atmosphere, a sinister, dark one and with an industrialized setting! AN INCREDIBLE DARK PSYCHEDELIC SHOW!!!!

After the concert, as usual, there will be an After Party at Music Cafe, where people can meet, take photos, ask for autographs, take an interview or just chill with Richard. He has a lot of stories to tell, especially as he is in the full process of creating a new SUMMONING album. And so we hope the night will be stretch as much as possible...

We need to mention that this will be a unique event, completely UNDERGROUND, one that is for Black Metal fans, but also Gothic, Dark Wave, EBM, DeathRock or Industrial alike. But only for those who want to experiment with styles far from conventional!!!

You must know that the possibility of seeing SUMMONING or DVKE live does not exits as these are studio based projects! Therefore, the only opportunity to see the mentor of these bands live is this one, at hand!!!

The number of available seats will be extremely limited, the access will be done with invitations only (there will be a list at the entrance based on reservations that fans can make at contact@donisart.ro). Depending on the response given, invitations might be available on the day of the concert as well.

Ticket prices are 20 RON (aprox. 5.50 EUR).

There will be a stand with music related accessories; amongst these will be the latest SUMMONING, DVKE and ICE AGES, priced 30 RON (aprox. 8.30 EUR).

Richard's respect for the fans is bringing forward an offer of 10 ICE AGES CDs that will end up with the first lucky fans who will answer correctly (by emailing DonisArt) the below question:
